I completely agree! While the hyper consumerism is a downside as well as hyper individuality potentially causing some identity issues for young people coming of age, it also gives a lot of freedom to express different sides of a persons identity. Personally I feel like I look completely different day to day and have never felt concerned about being judged based on whatever trend I was abiding by or not abiding by. Very interesting take!!
